Every golfer would like to have more distance and score lower. We all visualize a hole-in-one shot. This dream shot is possible. We just need more golf swing practice to refine our strokes to accomplish a dream perfect golf swing.
After reviewing many comments from golfers almost all claim ” Relax”. Relaxation comes with hours of practicing and being in the zone during your play. A focused space in time when all is perfect. As with all shots relax and hit the ball at the center of the club face and the ball will perform as you intended. Is this the perfect golf swing?
Each person develops their personal golf swing style. There may be strong influences from other athletic activities in your life such as baseball, softball, tennis, handball, and racketball. Your body build or other idiosyncrasies may also have their influences. It is to your advancement that you continue to golf swing practice and take golf lessons from a professional regardless of these subconscious influences.
Learn and practice the different golf swings one at a time. These swings need to become secondary in nature and you need to become as proficient as possible.
Your body with its design, strength and weaknesses will affect swings. Adjustments will need to be made in technique and equipment.
If you are very flexible your shoulders will probably turn too much; more body self control is necessary. Your arms may be short and you require a longer shaft. You are a petite woman or a child there is a need to be fitted with custom golf equipment. If you are very flexible or very strong get properly fitted for the correct tension and weight of your golf clubs. It is advantageous to have weighted club heads.
These are some of the reasons why it is difficult to duplicate exactly what a particular professional golfer may do. There are no two professional golfers that swing exactly alike. Many of us watch and try to duplicate a professional golfer. Keep in mind the perfect swing and shot are supported with many hours of practice and professional golf instruction.
Regardless of which golf swing you are learning it is critical that you have a correct stance and balance. Balance is the key. A bit of a tilt, a slight movement in the hip, improper weight shift, any one thing can undo a stable balance and will affect how and where the club face hits the ball and where the ball lands in relationship to the target hole.
